Warning Order

 

Scenario:

For this deployment, we will be representing the 22nd Inf Regimmet of the 4th Infantry Division during the initial few days of D-Day, all as per Lee's details on the facebook page below:

Uniform Standard: Clean-ish you have just landed in Normandy.

Personal appearance: 2-days max. shaving

Please take note, to maintain our high standards:

No Buckle Boots

No Jump boots

No Modern Tee shirts

No E-cigarettes in sight

No beards

No visible piercings  

Mobile phones and modern cameras to be used discreetly

All Modern equipment (carrier bags, cool boxes, beer boxes, books, food packaging etc)hidden from sight at all times where possible.

Rations and personal items either wrapped in period packaging or used discreetly

 

Shelter:

 

Pop's please bring unit pup tent for a spare.

Steve, please bring your fly-sheet for storage, etc.

Unit Field Equipment: Twin Coleman burner.

 

Field Equipment: spent cases, foxhole litter, old tin cans, cigarette packets, etc. 30 cal tins.

 

Radios:   Unit SCR300 (Tony can you bring the SCR300)

 

Flagpole: No

 

Signage, etc: Not required

 

Weapons:  Denix only, at your own risk.

Unit Weapons: None

Water:    Available on Site.

 

Toilets:  Available on Site

 

Showers:  Available on Site.

 

Food:    Period self-catering, there is a BBQ by the organisers sometime during the event.

 

Food/Pyro Cost: None, self-catering

 

All Troops please bring to every event regardless: 

 

Some bread (Not a modern sliced loaf)

1x tin meat or veg for a 2-can 

1x tin for sweet (Rice pudding, peaches)

1x tin of Spam, hot dog's or corned beef

Coffee or Tea

Please remove modern labels and/or relabel if possible.

 

Also, needed at every event:

Tomato Sauce & Brown Sauce

Milk

Eggs 

Sugar

Cooking oil

Washing up liquid

Fire:     None

 

Fire Wood: No

Rubbish:  Bag rubbish/recycle and place in designated area.

Alcohol:  Permitted, Personal ration enough to share

Parking:  Parking in the re-enactors car park after you have booked in. 

Camping: Period camping, open pup tents location is pitch A6 on the pic below, final location as directed by Lee Bowden.

Health & Saftey:

 

Wear suitable and appropriate footwear and clothing. Inform organiser(M.Spencer) of any medical issues. Wear Sunscreen where needed and keep hydrated.

 

Insurance: Unit PI Insurance cover in place, copy available on request.

 

First Aid:  Modern First Aid kit carried by T.Atherton & M.Spencer

Training Schedule: None, this is a combat scenario event, time to use that training!

Off Duty Entertainment: Drinking and socializing french style

13:00 Hrs - Arrive Cherbourg

14:00 Hrs - Arrive at Battery and set-up

16:00 Hrs - Free time (Off Duty in Green)


Thurs 6th

AM - Beach Commemorations

PM - Night Exercise


Fri 7th

14:00 Hrs - Public Battle

17:00 Hrs - Public Battle


Sat 8th

14:00 Hrs - Public Battle

17:00 Hrs - Public Battle

21:30 Hrs - Night Battle followed by fireworks


Sun 9th

14:00 Hrs - Public Battle

Do not wander off the pitch during show times, instead speak to the Sgt/2LT before leaving the pitch.
