Event Parking & Access:

  • Friday 15:00 onwards

  • Sunday - Off site by 18:00

  • Please also keep vehicles off the grass where possible.

While visitors are onsite between 10:00am and 17:00pm no vehicles will be allowed onsite unless agreed ahead of time for special needs. You will be welcome to use our car park throughout your stay. We can allow access of vehicles once the public are offsite to drop off equipment etc. as required. We ask you observe the 5 M.P.H. speed limit onsite and that you show your hazard lights whilst moving about. We also request that once the staff and volunteers have left site for the evening and all of your persons have arrived that you lock the outer carpark gate using the combination padlock for security purposes. The inner gate by Blyth Road Pavilion should be closed and locked.

The code for the combination lock can be obtained from Steve or a Committee member.

Notes from Battalion:

  • Sgt Warren will be senior NCO for this event and acting Company Commander. Corporal Webb will be 2iC. Treat them with the same respect as you would the Lieutenant when on display.

  • Another hot weekend forecast. Remember Sun screen and keep your canteens topped up

  • Fire arms display authorised. If you want to shoot, please bring a firer. Unfortunately there is no Ammo provided*​​

  • If possible, please bring spare boxes or other set dressings to beef out the display

Please take note:​

  • All members are required to change into Green as soon at they are pitched up. And remain in uniform until endex has been called

  • Any deviation form the above uniform code will be questioned by the Unit Commander/NCO/Committee Member on the day. You may be asked to change.

  • Head cover to be worn at all times, either a Garrison Cap, or the M1 Helmet. (When on display a jeep cap should not be worn on it's own. After hours, the jeep cap can be worn as suits you)

  • No Bloused Jump boots

  • No Modern Tee shirts

  • No E-cigarettes insight while on display

  • No Vaping whilst on display

  • No beards. Clean shaven upon arrival, or shave when changing into Green on the first day

  • No Modern haircuts

  • No visible piercings or Tattoos

  • No modern watches

  • No modern glasses

  • Mobile phones and modern cameras can be used, but discreetly

  • All modern equipment (carrier bags, cool boxes, beer boxes, books, food packaging etc) to be hidden from sight at all times where possible

  • Rations and personal items are either wrapped in period packaging or used discreetly

  • No food/drink in modern packaging is to be consumed within the display area during public hours.

15:00 Onwards - Arrival at site and set up

17:00 - Evening meal and R&R

            

Saturday

07:30 - Reveille and Flag Detail

08:00 – Breakfast

09:30 – Roll call, Uniform Inspection, Briefing

10:00 - Event Opens to the public

17:00 – Show closes to the public. Evening meal, wash up, clean up

19:00 - Mingle with other groups

12:00 - Return to Camp

  • Keep your Green heads on. If given an order by an Officer or NCO, react in the appropriate manner.

  • ​​Do not leave the Camp Area without clearing it first with either the Lieutenant, or one of the senior NCOs.

  • A portion of this event may be taking place in the dark.​

  • Please be mindful that we are in a Museum with members of the Public present. Keep the profanities to a minimum and remember what we are representing while the public and staff members are around.

There will be a meal deal available with a cost not exceeding £7.00 per person.

There is fire wood available on site. Stores are located

  • Leagrave in the lean-to black door in the garden to the right of the red front door. This can be unlocked with the padlock key.

  • Haddenham to the rear of the house behind the privy.

  • Bodgers area which is near Arborfield Barn. This is the main wood store.

​

Trash: Recycling bins available on site. But please bring bin bags

Water: Available on site. Please bring unit water can. Or supply your own water

​

Toilets: Available onsite

  • With the shower please only use the shampoo/shower gel provided​

Alcohol: Permitted after hours. If in the Beer club, bring a pack of 15 bottles. Guests are welcome to join, just pitch in some bottles of Bud to cover!

Insurance:

  • Unit PI Cover is in place, copy available on request.

  • Probationary Members and Guests. We expect you to have your own insurance cover, if not then we can cover you under the groups insurance for a nominal fee of £5 for the weekend. This is payable to Marcus or a Committee Member on the first day of the event.

​

Health & Safety:

  • ​Inform Marcus or Rich Sage of any medical concerns/issues.

  • Wear suitable footwear and clothing.​

  • Dress for cold and wet conditions.

  • Stay Warm and keep hydrated.
