M1923 Calaber .30, Cartridge Belt

What is it?

The M1923 cartridge belt was standard issue for the American rifleman.
It could hold 10 M1 enbloc clips (80 Rounds), or 20 stripper clips for the M-1903 and M-1917 service rifles (100 Rounds)

Things to note when buying

Originals are still out there, but repros are readily available

Don't feel that you have to go out and buy 10 EnBloc's and 80 dummy rounds to fill the pouches. That can be extremely expensive on top of your basic kit, (and be extra weight to lug around on an event). SOF sell rubber pouch inserts for £3.00 each. Other member have just used scraps of wood cut down to fit.

Some of the cheaper repors on the market may seem tempting. But they are cheap for a reason. I made this mistake and ended up having to sew the web strapping on the back of the belt to hold it in place during my first event.

These are worn without suspenders.

Avoid dark OD 3 model, as this is late war issue only
